Distinctive Features
 
 

*Regular mass attendance

*Celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation monthly

*School begins the day after Labor Day in September

*Students attend class Tues-Friday (4-day school week)

*No school on Monday to allow Sundays to be dedicated to rest and family.

*NO Direct selling Fundraisers, at St. Bernadette’s we only participate in sustainable and Passive Fundraisers.

*Individualized attention to each students learning style

*Foreign language study; including Latin

*Pre-K trough 6 grades receive religious education enrichment in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (http://www.cgsusa.org/)

*The Baltimore Catechism also used for religious education enrichment.

*Curriculum expanded on through applied learning and The Montessori Method.

*Students work outdoors regularly, utilizing God’s classroom, observing nature, growing organic food, etc.

*Only NON-toxic, environmentally friendly cleaners used on campus.

*No toxic pesticides or fertilizers used on campus.

*Only nourishing, healthy food options offered and utilized on campus.
